Shellac Art - 2

Hello lovelies!

This is another shellac art post, if there is one thing I love doing with shellac it's creating art, this is a full shellac Rockstar (glitter) with a carved layer in hot pop pink, done in tiger stripes.

I love being able to create art more than most as although I am a nail technician when it comes to art I am useless!!

What's your favourite nail art design?
Do you wear nail art often?

My Work: Louboutin Inspired Nails

Morning Ladies;

Just wanted to show you these nails I did yesterday,

I was so excited when a client of mine asked me to do these as I adore the little flash of red that you get when you're moving your hands.
In the original Louboutin nails the black is on the top, of course like the shoes, I like this twist of the normal french manicure along with the flash of red.

These are CND Brisa Gel Enhancements and this is ruby ritz as the underneith.

This is a really eye catching design and I personally love it.

Is this something you would wear?

My Work: Shellac Nails.

Just a little post of my work,
These are the nails of a lovely 81 year old client of mine!

I love to see an older client who still cares for her nails. And this lady certainly loves hers, she regularly gets them done and they are in pristine condition.
I really enjoy going to visit her, and love being able to offer such a lovely lady a little treat every so often!!

When this photo was taken I got a little shock as she wanted shellac 'hot pop pink' which is a rather bright pink! She usually goes for nudes & pale pinks. It was lovely doing a brighter colour for her!

Do you know any older ladies who keep their nails polished and gorgeous?

Shellac Art

Morning lovelies!

This is one of my favourite nail designs that I have done, I can wait to put this on my nails at Christmas time, I've called it peekaboo as I have carved the blackout to show a peak of this gorgeous shellac limited edition gold, by far one of my favourites yet.

After I had created the peekaboo I wanted to add some colour so I add in these tropix drops!

This is more the kind of nail art I would wear on my ring finger rather than whole hand although I'm sure it would look very striking on all 5 fingers, I'll post a picture when I try this out!

Today's Nails..

Evening lovelies!

Just a quick picture of today's nails!

Beautiful aren't they! Brightening up a wintery week with some glitter! What more could a girl want?

This glitter is so beautiful! Honestly the picture does not do it justice, it has blue undertones and when moved in the light it turns a beautiful mix of shimmery pink & blue!

Pink isn't usually my kind of colour, but I pretty much feel in love with this as soon as I tried it out!!

What nails are you supporting today?

What is Shellac?

This is a question that I am asked time and time again,

A common mis conception of shellac is that it is a 'gel polish' it isn't it is a POWER POLISH.

CND shellac offers you the 'real' woman a 2 week manicure, Shellac lasts 2 weeks without chipping, splitting or losing its beautiful shine. (if you follow your aftercare that is given from your tech of course) it was the 1st of its kind of course now there are many different variations of its kind but most of these tend to be more on the gel polish side such as gellish. Now don't get me wrong i'm not saying that they are not as good, but what I am saying is that they are infact very different.

CND  - the leading company in nail design spend years creating the power polish that is Shellac..

Shellac was created for Natural nails though it is often used over enhancements also. If you have weak, bendy nails then you are not suited to shellac, you would be better off getting a natural nail overlay using gel to help offer strength and then get Shellac applied on top of the overlay.

I personally have had an AMAZING experience with shellac that I will write about in another post, I was a serious nail bitter and ruined my nails not only through biting them but going to salons who drilled and used the wrong products on my nails. (of course this was before I became a nail technician myself and learnt about what products should & shouldn't be used on the nails, and exactly how enhancements should be applied.

Shellac should not & does not ruin your nails when applied and removed properly. I have recently heard about many 'technicians' using fake shellac, please be aware of this and ensure the technician you are using uses all CND products and is fully trained to carry out your treatment.

I hope you enjoyed this post, and have learnt something from it. Feel free to leave any questions below.
